The second phase of Renhe Water plant is located in Hangzhou, with a design scale of 200,000T/D. The water source will be supplied by Qiandao Lake in the future, providing the last guarantee of safe water supply for the northern route of Qiandao Lake water supply project.

Recently, E-MEM team went to Yuhang Renhe water Plant for a project return visit, with The Vice President of Yuhang water production company, Renhe water plant director and other people for project operation and maintenance discussion. As a "service" membrane product company, E-MEM is not only in the project construction period, but also in the project operation and maintenance of different stages, pay attention to the needs of customers in different periods.

The team is also equipped with GoPro5, a professional underwater photography equipment, to take you into the E-MEM membrane ultrafilter of Renhe Water Works.

 

Zhejiang Modern Water Plant

Based on the conventional process, renhe water plant adopts the advanced third-generation

ultrafiltration membrane process: coagulation precipitation + sand filtration + submerged ultrafiltration + disinfection. The membrane process is the last guarantee for the treatment of tap water.

Yuhang Renhe Water Plant is the first water plant to pass the evaluation after the implementation of the 2013 Edition of Evaluation Standard for Modern Urban Water Supply plants in Zhejiang Province. Based on the modern water plants with higher requirements, the submerged-membrane process is adopted to ensure the stable and excellent water quality, serving Hangzhou citizens.

Renhe Water Plant has been running smoothly for nearly a year since it was put into operation in June 2019.In good operating condition:

The turbidity of water production was less than 0.1NTU and the particle size excess 5um total number was kept below 10, which was better than the requirements of the Evaluation Standard of Modern Urban Water Supply plants in Zhejiang Province.

 

Submerged UF (TXP) in Renhe

 

The membrane treatment module of Renhe Water Plant is designed and built by E-MEM, and its core product is TXP product from E-MEM. It has the following characteristics:

n  Pretreatment process is simple

Generally, do not need coagulation precipitation and multi-medium filtration, can directly filter high concentration of suspended solids.

For example, MBR as a special application of submerged UF membrane can be used in SS<10000ppm

 

*The water produced has good quality and high biosafety


The effluent turbidity is close to zero (≤0.1NTU), which can remove bacteria, virus and Escherichia coli. The removal rate of "two worms" is more than 6log.



* No disinfection by-products

The function of physical disinfection can be realized to avoid THMs and other disinfection by products produced by chemical disinfection.

*  Lower operating costs

Using negative pressure suction way to give water, low operating pressure, low energy consumption, low operating cost; Siphon water can also be used to reduce the power consumption of the system.



 

*  Convenient operation and management

High degree of automation, automatic control can be achieved, convenient management.

*  Convenient for secondary reconstruction

Submerged-ultrafiltration is a large medium water reuse project and deep treatment unit of waterworks, and its modular structure is extremely suitable for site shortage or in situ upgrading projects.



By 2019, the total supply of tap water in China is 487 million cubic meters per day, showing an increasing trend year by year.

95% of the Chinese tap water plants were established before the new drinking water standard issued , except the part of the first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Dongying, Jiangyin coastal developed cities finished upgrade, other provinces and cities most of the existing process plants were not adapt to the new water quality standards, is an urgent need to do the traditional water plant process improvement and upgrading.

With the pursuit of drinking water quality by the society and the public, ultrafiltration membrane will become the core technology of the third generation of urban drinking water purification process.
